Hi Nirmal,

Can you forward this message to your prakriti group.
---------------------------------------------------------------

Hi All,

It was wonderful experience visiting kgp again during Prakriti. Made me a little nostalgic, remembered my old days. We started Prakriti with lots of objectives, and some have been fulfilled to a great extent. But while we (Saraswati and Me) were coming back, we were thinking about what next?

In any such event, there are many important parts. The event itself is just a small part of the actual thing. Seeing the big picture and knowing where to take it is a very difficult task. And finally, we all are here for ourselves, so our learning and individual contribution is also very important. We have a list of questions that we want you to think about. Be sincere and honest in answering these questions, might give you a different angle of thinking.

  1. According to you, how was Prakriti 2013? What were the great, good, mediocre and bad elements?
  2. To what extent were you aware about each & every element of Prakriti? Did you know the budget and its break-up?
  3. Do you think knowing every element of Prakriti 2013 was important? Why / Why not?
  4. How much had the team learnt from previous editions of the fest to incorporate in this edition of Prakriti?
  5. Did you work as a team?
  6. According to you, what should have been the team structure of Prakriti? Try to think about the realities in our department, and not just copy paste from other fests completely.
  7. What is the objective of organizing Prakriti? Were the objectives fulfilled (this time as well as in the previous versions)?
  8. Can you quantify parameters to measure the success of Prakriti?
  9. What according to you each stakeholder (students, faculty, industry, alumni) expects from the fest?
  10. Why do you think we (Me and Saraswati) came all the way from Mysore and Hyderabad?
  11. Did you learn anything from the fest and the experience of organizing it? What were the top 3 takeaways for you?
  12. What was “your” contribution to Prakriti 2013?

Feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss any of these with me.

Thanks & Regards,
Nihit Jain

1)it was my first prakriti .The team work was great and it can be seen in the outcome.the baddest part of prakriti13 was the schedule.firstly we have uploaded the schedule on the website.participants get prepared according to that. and again after they came to the registration desk they were given modified schedule.and after that the schedule was changed many times.and it had affected the participation in some events.

2 ,3) when i went to one of the prof to invite him for the inauguration ceremony, he questioned me about the budget, i was standing right before him without answering him. i dont hav any idea about the sponsorship at that time. Yes of course everyone has to know about each and every element about the fest. That will build up some confidence and we can answer to anyone.

4) this was my first prakriti

5) i have to mention this, regarding the beergame event. im the only one working on the web. on 15th of march everyone sat together and had a discussion about the hosting of beergame. we didn't have the code. the event is on 16th of march(next day). everyone was asking me about the beergame. and then aditya has given an idea about hosting it online.i felt i was alone.i was thinking the whole night ..how could i host this event alone???? . On the next day , KISHORE ATHOTA sat right beside me and told me that we will be hosting this event together and make it a success. he worked for the beergame with me,the whole day. some of the other team members helped us in hosting that event. the event was grand success.on the previous day, we thought of skipping the event, but the next day we were able to make it a grand success. this shows what team work can do.

6) talking about the team structure of prakrit,

i think , the present one is fine

8) the parameters to quantify the success of prakriti is the participation and the feedback from the participants. this year we had online registrations of about 600+.last year online registrations was about 450. this year participation was 100+
and the feedback response was good.
