Thank you all for joining us in the Prajna Year End Program 2010-2011. 

On behalf of Prajna teachers, I would like to thank you for giving us an opportunity to work with children, teaching them different aspects of our Vedic Sampradayam, all through the year. With our A:charya's blessings, we come to the close of Prajna School Year.

Our next program is the Prajna Summer Camp 2011, beginning July 11, 2011 and concluding on July 22nd, 2011. It is conducted Monday through Friday from  9:00am to 5:00pm at Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Temple in Milpitas.

 

This year, we are very fortunate to have Kum. Prapanna Vaisaradiji, (popularly known as Saradaji) , who is the direct disciple of H.H.Sri.Sri.Sri. Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, teaching the summer camp. For those of you who joined Prajna this past year, Kum. Prapanna Vaisaradiji , is a graduate of  JET Bharatiya Tatwa Sastra Kalasala  and  an expert in Vendanta. She has more than  15  years of experience educating interested devotees in Upanishads, Brahma Sutras, Itihasas, Bagavatham,  and  Dravida Vedam in different cities in India and US. With her knowledge and skill, she has formulated techniques on how to  educate American born Indian children on Indian culture and heritage. For more than 7 years, she taught Prajna classes to children in Bay Area and other cities in US. She will be supported by our own Prajna teachers who have had extensive experience conducting Summer camps from past several years.

 

To give you all an insight into the camps’s activities, children will hear stories from our scriptures, learn Bhagavad Gita - Chapter 1 & Nama Ramayana, understand the meaning of rituals and ways to perform them, get  a virtual tour of our temples along with learning new Yoga postures and Bhajans. Our curriculum also includes, public speaking and creative writing workshops. To make our camp well rounded, we are offering courses in dance, art & needlework  as well as organizing  games such as carom, chess and cricket to name a few. At the conclusion of each week, children get to play Jeopardy and win fun filled prizes! As with our previous camps, we provide Satvik food to children including snacks, lunch and summer treats.

If you are interested in enrolling your children to this unique summer camp, please do so at the earliest. We would like to get an accurate head count for planning purposes.
