BUTTE COUNTY WILDFIRE RELIEF FUND RAISING BY VTSEVA
- The Camp Fire in Northern California is the deadliest wildfire in the United States in a century
- 79 people have died in California Camp Fire
- More than 700 people have been missing since the fire began
- About 150,000 acres have been burnt so far
- 12794 houses have been destroyed
- 50,000 people have been evacuated from their homes
As per HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji's instructions, VT Seva Bay Area, a 501(c)(3) non-profit sister organization of JET California, initiated California Wildfire Relief fund in collaboration with Oroville Hope center (www.orovillehopecenter.org) to provide basic necessities like “travel sized personal kit and a blanket” for the affected people. These Travel Sized Personal Kits include: Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Hair Shampoo, Hair Conditioner, Body Soap, Body/Hand Lotion, Deodorant, Disposable Razors, Shaving Cream, Lip Balm, Facial Tissues and a Blanket
