A PRAISE REPORT from Barbara:

---

Rebekah had a good day today was the work I received from two of her nurse toward the evening hours. Her status appears to remain touch and go; but the medical staff does plan to being weaning her off of some of her medication tonight rather than tomorrow. I’m really encouraged by that. I’m also really encouraged that the neurosurgeon is very unconcerned about Rebekah’s head injury. I want to be very clear, Rebekah is still in really bad shape. He trauma surgeon told me this morning after going through the laundry list of injuries, most significant of all being her chest trauma, that “she has a lot of things wrong with her, she is very sick and she will be hear a long time.” I don’t know what that means beyond that I know I need to be with her. I know that God is sovereign and He has a purpose in this. As I read my daily Bible reading this morning, how comforting did I find Matthew 6; …v.10 & 11 “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread” v. 25 – 34 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” I don’t know what tomorrow hold but I know that God will strengthen me to manage what he puts before me today. A very special thanks to Kirk and Janet Holloway with are sacrificially watching our girls. We are so thankful that they already had a re pore with Kirk and we’ve received two reports that the things are going well there. Please remember our girls and Kirk and Janet as you pray. Thank you so much each of you for your prayers, calls, concerns gifts and visits. They each mean so much. We thank God that so many people care so deeply for our family. Blessings until tomorrow. John
