I just heard about these groups earlier today....

I was actually down in Dane Co. and I was talking to someone who was familiar with their group down there, and he suggested I check out 'the website'.  So, I started with Prairie Enthusiasts and chose Marquette Co. and hear I am!

 

We have two native prairies that we are attempting to restore.  In this mornings discussion I was telling the gentleman that we have wanted to 'burn our prairie' for the past several years, but can't find anyone / get anyone to help / come and do it.  I would guess he's a member of the Dane Co. group since he seemed so familiar with the name/group.

 

So, I'm starting by contacting you via email, and hope to find out more details / options.

I wasn't sure if anyone from the Prairie Sands Chapter had returned your message yet, so I thought I would just say hello! and follow-up with you.  The most likely candidate to get back to you from your local chapter would be Ann or Ralph Woldt and/or Dave and Shelley Hamel.  If you've already spoken to them, then you're probably all set!  But if not, just let me know and I can point you in the right direction. When you saw The Prairie Enthusiasts in Dane County, was that for the Earth Day celebration at Monona Terrace?  If so, then you were probably speaking to Richard Oberle, a board member and chair of our fundraising committee.  If it was a field trip, however, you likely spoke to Rich Henderson.  Either way, I hope they answered your questions alright--again, if not, please let me know, I'd be more than happy to help!
