Hello, introduction!

I am the current president of The Prairie Sands Chapter, The Prairie
Enthusiasts, and am embarrased to announce that I have *just*
discovered that this group even exists! I am pleased that we have yet
another way for members to communicate with each other. Up until now,
I've only known about and used email.

If you're not getting emails from me, please let me know --
annr...@centurytel.net -- and I'll make sure you're on the email list
as well.

Our next event, coming on Tuesday, October 11, will be announced soon
on our website. We are asking people to make reservations so we're
sure to have enough space. So watch for it soon -- the formal
announcement will happen tomorrow, September 5, with follow-up
reminders before the event.

My husband and I own 15 acres of land in Waushara County. We've
restored about 5 acres to native prairie, and are clearing more land
in small segments. We were helped this last weekend by Mother Nature
-- a severe storm blew through and toppled over 30 trees. Fortunately
we suffered no structural damage. The sound of chain saws is filling
the air as I type this. Folks who use firewood should find it in
abundance this year!

I hope to see you all on October 11 -- watch for the announcement some
time after tomorrow!
