Can you tell me why, when I put in a password, the site rejected it? I hadn't been assigned a password, and I used one that's easy for me to remember, but nobody else would know it. Then when I attempted to go back to the previous page, the listing now has as the top 2 selections: Sex Video Chat Invitation and Sex Dating Service Invitation? This certainly has nothing to do with the Prairie Sands Chapter ot the Prairie Enthusiasts!
So I'm thinking that if I have to go through this routine just to keep updated, I'm going to instead follow the brief articles in my local newspaper!

Hi Judy,
So sorry for your aggravations with the sign-in--I would be upset too!

I'm not officially a member of the Prairie Sands Chapter, per se, but I do work for TPE, Inc. (the overall organization).  (I do consider the Sands chapter, however, "my" chapter as it's closest to me in Oshkosh!)

I'll make sure that your chapter rep knows about this issue.  In fact, I've copied Ann Woldt on this email, so hopefully they can get things corrected!!

Thanks so much for letting us know,
Dani

Thanks, Dani. It was just such a shocker to have this stuff come up like that, when I started out from the local newspaper's Phenology article.

Do either of you know how or why I received these emails? They sure didn't look like I was an addressee. I can't figure it out. Strange.

Oh no problem!  I'm a fairly saavy Gen Xer on the computer, but when things happen like that, it really makes you wonder!

Have a great weekend!

Hello Prairie Sands Chapter group members and followers.

You are receiving emails from this Google Group because you - or
someone pretending to be you - signed up to be a part of the Prairie
Sands Chapter of the Prairie Enthusiasts conversations. Needless to
say, a few people have joined who have different agendas... I went
through all the members and banned those who posted inappropriate
messages and reported any suspicious message as spam. All of the
marked messages are now removed. I will be diligent to catch and
remove these posts in the future. This Google group was created to
allow easier communication to occur between members and those
interested in our mission. Unfortunately, an open forum is suspect to
a few rotten apples - or perhaps a few spotted knapweed. I guess we
were in need of a burn.

If you are having trouble logging into your account, it may be an
issue with Google. No one in the group has access to passwords or any
other personal data. We can only delete posts and manage members
posting and viewing rights. One person can belong to multiple groups,
and I believe that the password would be the same for all of them.
There may be a way to have Google send an email to you with a
temporary password. Please let me know if you need any assistance.

If anyone wishes to stop receiving emails from this group, please
reply and your name will be removed.

I apologize for the frustrations, and hope that we can use this forum
as we originally intended. I encourage everyone to continue to post
and become part of the conversations.
Thank you,
Tom Ellington

Thanks, Tom.

As I mentioned in one of the previous emails to Dani or Ann, you don't
expect sex sites to be at the top of the list, when you're attempting to
sign up with Prairie Enthusiasts! I am fortunate to live across the road
from the Nature Conservancy's Summerton's Bog. The Conservancy property,
according to an elderly friend, was the last home of prairie chickens in
Marquette County. Sadly, the prairie area is being taken over by black
locust and other invasive trees and shrubs.
