The FALL Session of the
Citizen's Police Academy will start on Tuesday Sep 29, 2015. This Session will end on
Nov 24th. The classes are held every Tuesday from 6:00 PM -9:00 PM
at the Chicago Police Academy 1300 W Jackson .

The Citizen’s Police
Academy is a free 6 week course that is conducted by the CAPS Project Office
and the Education and
Training Division of the
Chicago Police Department. It provides a hands-on training program in a
friendly atmosphere. The
course is 2 hours and
meets one day a week, for 6 weeks, at the Education and Training Division at
1300 W. Jackson. The Citizen’s Police Academy is open to all Chicago residents
and workers. The course is run by the Chicago Police Department and closely
follows
the actual training that
police officers receive. All instructors in the program are employees of the
Chicago Police Department. Our goal is to build a closer bond with our
residents and business communities. We hope that once you have participated in
the Citizen’s Police Academy, you will have a better understanding of the
