Another object lesson of how the South Side of the city is the dumping ground for whatever the Powers that Be want to do with our TIFmonies, or why leadership matters and a vacuum in it matters more. We in the South Loop have a "kick me" sign on our backs, and we take it.

Yeah, the city's TIF program is clearly a pot of gold for the politically connected. We can only hope that when the city's budget gets blown up next year they tap into all the TIF money before dramatically increasing our property taxes to fill in the budget(pension) gap.
