Hi Labor Day Riders!
The routes are looking great for the PCC Labor Day Ride in Perrysville on Monday, September 7. I completed a scouting run, and road conditions are the best they’ve been in years.
For both the 36- and 65-mile routes, Silver Island Road and Coffing Brothers Road have new, smooth surfaces. 10 O’Clock Road, Stringtown Road, and Highway 32 into Perrysville are also smooth and in good condition.
For the 65-mile route, I've updated the route out of Montezuma. We’ll now use Strawberry Road and cross the recently repaired Melcher Covered Bridge. The new route includes about 0.1 mile on Highway 36. Route distance slightly increases to 66.8.
Strawberry Road has some rough pavement in spots, but it’s more scenic than Leatherwood Road, which we’ve used in previous years.
