
Tomorrow there's a welcome gathering for the Illini 4000 which are a group from U of I
llini 4000 is a non-profit organization dedicated to documenting the American cancer experience through The Portraits Project, raising funds for cancer research and patient support services, as well as spreading awareness for the fight against cancer through annual cross-country bike rides. "
The welcoming party is from 2-4 and then folks can ride along for about 3 miles as they go the rest of the way in.
Then down at the Independent Media Center, the folks at the Bike Project will be heading out for an 80's theme ride. Go down for the SUnday hours (3:00 to 5:00) to decorate & tune up the bicycle, maybe JOIN :) :) or renew :) ... then 5:45 rollout Best of the 1980s: bike ride party, dress up yourself & your bike
3-5:30: Check/renew your TBP membership, tune up & decorate your bike (TBP Urbana in the IMC basement)
5:45: Roll-out for a social ride, route TBA, expected <10 miles (Congregate in alley between IMC & Lincoln Square - no need to bring your bike inside unless you need to do something)
