To All, With most of last nights rain missing our area, only the Mackinaw looks possible for Sunday. Right now it is reading just under 500 cfs which would be a good upper level. But by Sunday without additional rain, it will probably be around 300 cfs. Still a good passable level. Last year we started running this section of the Mackinaw thanks to a recent acquirement of land by the Parklands Foundation. Now we can paddle the river from north of Carlock,IL. to near Goodfield, about ten miles instead of what used to be fifteen miles. We may have a small chance of rain before Sunday and Anja and I will have our eyes on the gauges, of course. Keep an eye open for another e-mail Saturday with last minute instructions for where to meet and what time. This is a very scenic section of river with numerous riffles and small rapids and I would rate this one for all skill levels. If you need a boat let us know by 7 AM on Sunday. We hope to see some of you out there Sunday. Mike & Anja Metz
