Volunteer Opportunity: Bike Census Spring 2026

Hello all,
F&S is organizing a Bicycle Census event for Spring 2026 on April 14, 2026, from 11 – 12 pm. We will be looking for several volunteers for this event, and we would greatly appreciate the help!
Following is some more information about the event and attached is a flyer:
F&S conducts a bike census that is used to identify high-ridership locations. Information collected allows data-driven decisions about where to prioritize mobility, safety, and infrastructure improvements, including bike rack upgrades, pathway enhancements, and the like. This year, the census will also survey e-bikes, e-scooters, and other micromobility devices. To cover the campus efficiently, volunteers are needed to help on Tuesday, April 14
Participants would first attend an instructional session (on either Monday, April 13, from 4 to 5 p.m., or Tuesday, April 14, from 10 to 11 a.m.). These will both be held at Anniversary Plaza, which is south
of the Illini Union (1401 W. Green St., Urbana). The actual census taking will also deploy from Anniversary Plaza at 11 a.m., immediately following the Tuesday session.
