To All,  Weather Saturday looks great. Partly cloudy, with Temps in the low 60's.  Let's meet at Country Fair Shopping Center in Champaign. [ Mattis & Springfield ]  Look for us in the shade along Mattis, north of Chase Bank. Please arrive a few minutes before 9AM so we can car pool and leave at 9. We will set up a shuttle at the Sangamon Valley Trail north parking lot on our way in to Springfield. We will ride the scenic Sangamon Valley Trail into west Springfield where we will travel a few blocks east on side streets and pick up the Wabash Trail along Wabash Street eastbound. We will then travel about 4 miles east and run into the famous Interurban Trail south about 9 miles to Chatham. Here we will end our ride at the delicious Sangamo brewpub. The trails are all paved and very smooth and free of traffic except at intersections. This is one of the best bike trails, in a city, in Illinois. Any road bike will do, and we will cruise along at a leisurely pace of 10 - 12 mph. Talking and enjoying the scenery.
