Peoria Bicycle Ride Sat 11-15

Believe or not, but the weather man forecasts 72 degrees for Saturday. Maybe our last chance for a bicycle ride. There will be some wind and that's why we decided to do the two down-hill rides in Peoria. Both are in town and should be protected from the wind. The first trail is 12 miles from Alta to the riverfront and the second 9 miles from Morton to the riverfront. We will shuttle cars so we don't have to ride back up. We plan to have lunch at the riverfront between the two rides. Leave town at 8.30 from Country Fair Shopping Center (Mattis and Springfield). We expect to be at the riverfront City of Peoria Public Parking (300 Southwest Water Street, Peoria, IL 61602) around 10 am to leave a shuttle vehicle. The ride will then begin between 10.30 and 11 am from the Rock Island Trailhead in Alta (-2938, 2918 W Alta Ln, Peoria, IL 61615).
