Hi Prairie Cycle Club,
Thanks to everyone who came out to the kickoff event. For those who couldn’t make it, here’s a quick overview of the season.
2026 Season
The goal this year is simple: make it easy to ride with other people. We have a range of rides with different paces and styles, and we want it to be easy for anyone to show up and ride.
Membership
The club runs on member support, which helps cover insurance and core expenses.
New riders are always welcome to come out and join a few rides.
If you’d like to support the club a bit further, there’s also an optional donation page on the website.
Weekly Rides
We have rides throughout the week ranging from beginner-friendly to faster group rides, plus a family-friendly biweekly KRT ride. Weekly rides start April 18.
If you’re not sure where to start, Wednesday is our most beginner-friendly ride. From there, Saturday and Monday are good next steps.
Full details, including times and locations, are on the website:
Club Events
We have several events planned throughout the season, including:
- Ride More in May challenge (starts April 27)
- Memorial Day Ride (May 25)
- Community Time Trial (open now through early July)
- TdF Cookout (early July)
- Labor Day Ride (Sept 7)
- Metric Century (October 3)
Details for each event are posted on the website and will be shared by email.
Help the Club Grow
One of the best ways to grow the club is to bring someone with you. Friends, family, coworkers are all welcome, especially on the Wednesday and Saturday rides.
Keep an eye on the email list for updates, and come out and ride.
Looking forward to a great season.
