First Canoe/Kayak Trip of the Year We plan to paddle a section of Sugar Creek near Crawfordsville,IN. Sat. March 21, Meet at Rich's Restaurant in Ogden,IL. at 10 AM

 To All,     All of our more local rivers are, or will be, too low for Saturday. About all we have to paddle is Sugar Creek, but this is a great place to paddle. Depending on river level and parking, we will pick our section of river near Crawfordsville,In.  We will paddle about 10 -12 miles. This river should be good for all abilities and is very scenic and has a fairly fast flow.  Driving to Crawfordsville [ from Ogden ] will take about an hour and fifteen minutes. It will takes us about an hour to shuttle. Since we will lose an hours' time in Indiana, we will probably get off the river between 4 and 5 PM if everything goes right. There are no guarantees. This river is almost always a good time. If you need a boat [ kayaks and canoes ]  let us know by 7AM on Saturday. Bring your own snacks and eats for the river. Sometimes we eat after the trip at a Crawfordsville restaurant. We can figure out car pooling at Rich's. We hope to see some of you on Saturday.        Mike & Anja Metz
