It's a shame that with all the members of this group, and all of the ride options available (start time, starting location, destination), that the thought of having multiple rides from multiple locations is not an option. 😒

If some of you want to meet at Porter Park, meet at Porter Park. If some of you want to meet at Meadowbrook, meet at Meadowbrook. If some of you want to meet at Teri's, meet at Teri's. Why does there have to be a consensus?

I just got back yesterday from my 40th reunion of my cast from Up With People. We had 50 people, from all over the US, Canada and Sweden and we had a blast! And you know what? There were options for people to choose from.  We each did what we wanted, with who we wanted to. So I find this conversation about canceling bike rides because there are too many options to be silly.

Options are a good thing, people!! Do what you want to do, and don't worry about others.

Enjoy your rides, wherever they are, whoever you ride with. Just be safe re: the temperature, which I know you all will be.

I'll get off my soapbox now...😏

The only reason I think a consensus is good is that it is safer to ride in a larger group, more encouraging and help helps with the community building aspect of a group ride.

I also truly hope people will not be dissuaded from just saying "who wants to ride with me?" even if it's 1 or 2 people from where it's easy for them to get to.   

There are already lots of "little side groups" posting rides, some via PCC and others with bikin-buffs, etc.  .   It would be best if more people saw the posts so more people wouldget together and ride.... 

We can't have too many rides!!!
