Hello!
A msg from Srilatha-- Please read

Hi Shalu

A project called the Lifeline Express (the world’s first hospital on a train, also known as the Magic Train of India). is on the lookout for volunteer epilepsy counsellors. While those experienced as epilepsy counsellors may be preferred, others with sound counselling skills may be considered too.

The train visits different parts of the country, usually rural areas with insufficient medical facilities, or areas hit by natural disasters, etc., and stays in each place for some days while medical care (routine as well as major surgery) is provided to the local people.

Typically the volunteer is required for 3 days, Friday to Saturday, once in   two months or so. The volunteer with other medicos/team, will travel on a Friday morning to the particular area; from Friday till part of Sunday the volunteer will render his/her services. Return is mostly on Sunday night, the exception being a return on Monday night.

Those who are interested may contact Dr Roop Gursahani, Neurologist and epileptologist, Hinduja Hospital, on 9821087597. (He requested that his number be used/ passed on with discretion)

Could you please mail this to the current and past ADC students?

They can also read further about the Lifeline Express  on this link:

Thanks!
Srilatha
