Hi mike and all,

I just read your tutorial on bbq'n brisket. does this method hold true
for chuck as well?? what about the marinade?

Is the marinade enough for flavor, or do you need to use a rub after
marinating/before q'n?

Oh, by the way, I hope this site takes off, I'm not even game to post
on rfb in case I get flamed

Cheers mate

Hi Mark,

That's just my way of doing brisket, just tossing brisket onto a grill
over coals is original, he, he.

You can use the marinade for sure, for chuck.

Dry rub wouldn't be needed with the marinade, rub would be personal
preference IMHO

The marinade was originally made for mopping, I took it another step
and injected and soaked brisket, the added flavor is subtle as I
didn't wish to take away too much of the true roasted beef flavor.
What I do could be considered a 'crutch' be many who simply trim, salt
and pepper then cook which is another fine approach. I often
experiment by trying different ways.

regards,

Mike

Mark, I almost marked you as junk mail because the subject line
doesn't tell me its from the group. Perhaps we can put something in
the subject line to show it's from the group. For example, I'm on a
CT90 (Honda Trail bike) and on the subject line you have to insert
"CT90" to indicate to the group members that's it's from CT90 and not
junk mail.
Maybe we should solicit ideas as to what to put on the subject line to
make members aware from where it's from.
Maybe "PBQ?"

I just made an adjustment to the Group message profile to
automatically add, [PBBQ] as well as message number in subject line,
we'll see how that works.

Works great. Now I can tell junk from PBBQ posts.
Thanks
Eddie
