Just a few reminders

We have a club meeting this upcoming tuesday so if there is anything you guys want to ask/tell/talk to the members about, think of something and reply to this email.

THIS UPCOMING THURSDAY: We have the Gangs in Latin America event from 12:30-2. I will be hosting that event but i need another eboard member to help me out. On tuesday i will also ask a non-eboard member to help with it. DURING THE EVENING IS THE CULTURAL FOOD WORKSHOP COLLAB WITH WASA. We need to bring 2 dishes (one that represents Puerto Rican Culture and one that represents Dominican Culture) Before we buy anything, lets see if we can get the members to donate a dish to the event *crosses fingers* 

CLUB FAIR: Takes place the last tuesday of February (the 26th). We need to get EVERYONE involved in this. Every time theres a club fair we always have less than half of our club members present which is a total no no :/ 

The week after that is DR week. If you have any ideas for any of the events, please put it out there. The events for those days are: Sabor Dominicano, Slavery in DR, Dominican immigration, The novela workshop, and the DR Independence dinner

Last thing: on the calendar, it says that March 7th at 7pm we're having the Back to basics event...i forgot to mention that that event is being moved to march 14th because the 7th WASA wants to possibly to the drumming event. Gissy and I will have a meeting with Wale to see if the event can even be done. If we dont have the drumming event, we'll have a party.

Sounds good I really actually would love for other people to take charge for Dr week and of course I would be assisting but I prefer to take steps back and have others take charge. :)

Hi 

I can help with the workshop for Thursday also love the ideas for DR week let me know how I can help also I don't if we can include it but maybe we can incorporate the mirabal sisters maybe we can include that in the context of Dominican immigration since the big wave of Dominican migration to the US was after the fall of Trujillo. Just a suggestion but Idk if that's what you were going for but yea let me know how I can help.
