I like the events we currently have for the semester. I think we should definitely focus on Latino/Caribbean Identity, yo quiero bailar, tu quieres sudar, and Latino immigration. All of these would create good deep conversations between our members.

We definitely should do a bake sale. I like the balloon pop and game show ideas. I also like all of the three trips that were mentioned. It keeps us away from the WEB building!!

We also should work on a logo for both clubs. I would rock those shirts for days!

I'm not too crazy about the other ideas but I'm sure they would all be great turnouts!

Took an entire day for this damn email smh. Please reply with any ideas you may have and with any notes saying which events we shouldn't do or which ones we should focus on.

Possible Discussions (or events depending):

• Relationship workshop
  
• Latino/Caribbean Identity: What does it mean to be Latino/Carribean? When it comes to identity, how do culture, ethnicity, and race intersect? How are we portrayed and percieved in mass media? Reflection on ones own heritage and examine why ethnic and racial categories like hispanic are rejected by some 
  
• Sex Trafficking In Latin America
  
• Latino Voice: An open forum for students faculty and staff to openly talk about the current situation (is there one?) on campus.
  
• Latino Immigration and its impact on the US today
  
• "Yo quiero Bailar, Tu quieres sudar": Dancing is a very sexy and seductive act, but des dancing imply sex? Come and discuss your views of the implications of dancing. Music provided!
  

Fundraisers:

• Nerf Gun War (Charge each player small fee + gun fee + bullet fee)
  
• Cafe con Leche (will be discussed in depth later but like a Cafe/talent show type of thing)
  
• Bake Sale
  
• Poetry Slam Collab (Entance fee)
  
• Authentic Taco sale (Cinco de mayo!) - We could use our heating pan!
  
• Bomba Latina Mini Carnival
  
• "Boo grams": For valentines, sell little things that people can guy for their special someones
  
• Jewlery Sale-Gisely's idea
  
• Spa day: Manicures and massages! Gisely's idea! She does designs hayyyyy
  
• Two day bra events = 1) Bra donations that will be donated to women in Latin America 2) Bra pong! Using some bras that were donated and some ping pong balls, charge people small fee to try to get the ball in the bra. Win small prize like candy or some shit
  
• Balloon pop! - Stick a note with a small prize or a "sorry play again" in a shit load of balloons. 1 or 2 dollars to play.
  
• Game Show
  
• Photobooth - could be an addition to one of the other funraisers
  
• Easter egg surprise: similar to the balloon pop but a bit more flexible 
  

Trips:

• Tour of Latino Communities (El Barrio, Washington Heights...idk if there are any in brooklyn?)
  
• Museo del Barrio
  
• Volunteerings with kids from Harlem/Washington heights
  

Extras:

• Create T-Shirt/ Logo for The Clubs
  
• International Pen Pals
  
• Mentoring Latino HS students (Gisely's idea for the club)
