Hi everyone,

We are having an issue with our PR2. When I plug a laptop into the service port, the laptop gets assigned an IP address of 192.168.0.xxx. According to the PR2 manual, c1 should be assigning addresses in the range of 10.68.0.100-10.68.0.199. As a consequence of this, we can't SSH into the robot from a laptop.

The robot was working fine until I turned it off and turned it back on again a few days later. So maybe there was some kind of software update that might have changed things? We rarely turn our PR2 off, so it's hard to know what changes might have affected our system. I thought it might be related to our dnsmasq settings (which I described in an earlier post here: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/pr2_users/mfzK1njlocQ), but I played around with that and wasn't able to fix the problem.

Has anyone encountered this issue before or have some ideas about what the problem is? Your help would be greatly appreciated!

We resolved the issue with the help of a university IT person. For some reason, the Cradlepoint WAP was acting as a DHCP server. To solve the problem, we just unplugged the WAP, since we rarely use it. We didn't do any further debugging, but hopefully this is helpful if anyone else runs into this in the future.
