Hi Miika,
Surely agreed on the timing issue. And the beer thing as well in
fact ;-).
I have been thinking about a Khmer version of the group but am
wondering whether it is a good or a bad thing. Here my thoughts:
Good:
-Native language makes it easier to clarify questions
Not so good:
-No materials in Khmer (could be written but am sure nobody will be
able to find the time for it...).
-Splitting Khmer and English "groups" creates some sort of a
seperation, which does not promote sharing ideas. I like the idea of
sharing ideas with as many people as possible without exclusions.
-Everyone should have decent English in order to work on advanced
programming topics
Alternatively, we could after the formal part of each session is done,
have an oportunity for asking questions in Khmer?
Comments/suggestions on this topic appreciated.
