ERP solution needed for academia

do you mean a school information system  or  School admin system  something like that?  if so there are a few good ones out there for free... 

A Cambodian- German has developed what has to be the most elegant of all  see  www.camemis.com   surely he could address most all of  your needs.

A few more I have promoted in Cambodia include OpenSIS, CentreSIS, OpenAdmin and Schooltool...   I think Schooltool is finally released... not checked on it in a long time...  it comes from the Ubuntu team..
