Freshmen and Sophomores come hang out at Sabrina’s! This is a great way to get to know your fellow PPA members and eat some delicious food (the giant French toast!).

 

Apparel Survey

We are looking for designs to use. If you have any, please send them to kan...@gmail.com. If yours is chosen, you’ll get free apparel. Alright nice! Designs are due by 10/31 at 11:59PM.

 

FIND

The Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue Incorporated (FIND, Inc.) stands as a symbol to the ethnic consciousness presently seen on university campuses. Currently, its network actively links over 90 East Coast colleges, universities, vocational, and technical schools. Every fall they hold a Dialogue. This year’s Dialogue is entitled Dream for More. It will be held on November 3rd, 2012 at George Mason University. Delegates who attend will participate in several engaging and interactive workshops. Learn more about it here. Pre Registration ends on October 25th but you can always register on site if you are interested! A few board members will be attending. Breast Cancer Awareness Coffeehouse

Come join the sisters of alpha Kappa Delta Phi, Theta Chapter in celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month at their annual Coffeehouse Event!  They've brought together a great line-up of distinguished Penn performing arts groups and food catered by your favorite restaurants - all in one intimate atmosphere hard to find during this hectic time of year.

 

Featured performers include: Atma, Dischord, Penn Masala, The Excelano Project, PENNaach, Penn Latin and Ballroom Dance, PennSori, PennYo, Keynotes, Hype, Freaks of the Beat and Simply Chaos.

 

You can also enjoy food catered by Sangkee, La Creperie, Axis Pizza, Han Dyansty, Papa John's, Koreana, Insomnia Cookies and more!

Philadelphia Film Festival Celebrates Filipino Heritage Month

The Philadelphia Film Festival is screening Filipino movies that may be of interest to you! Check out this blog covering the film festival written by our friend Ben from FISDU.

 

The Woman in the Septic Tank: This Filipino comedy is a satire of independent film makers. It is the highest Filipino independent film in history! It is showing on Sunday 10/28 at 12PM at the Ritz Bourse.

 

Don’t Stop Believin: Everyman’s Journey: This is the story of Arnel Pineda, the lead singer of the band, Journey. It is showing on Friday 10/26 at 10:15PM at the Prince Music Theater and Sunday 10/28 at 5:10PM at the Ritz East A.
