Hi Max,
Thanks for your response!
I know that Chrome's plugin architecture is more restricted than
Firefox, however, it still has a lot of capabilities:
1 - It can fetch data from web feeds and social networking services in
the background as well. As an example, check out Chromed Bird and
Mashable's Chrome plugins. They're pretty amazing!
2 - I'm not sure about storing data on the computer, but Chrome has a
nice built-in notification architecture as well. Maybe the storage is
something you could look into.
3 - I downloaded Firefox 4 Beta within the hour it came out (I'm a
geek, but honestly, who here isn't?), but the plugin doesn't seem to
work 100% well in the Beta. None of my services turn on, and I'm not
really sure what I'm supposed to be seeing.
I would donate to Kickstarter if I were earning money, however,
unfortunately I just graduated an am looking for a job - in fact, I'm
going to submit a project to Kickstarter in a few days as well =)
Poyozo's awesome and looks great, but I'd really like to see it on
Chrome. I think you'll find a lot of the geekier people have switched
over to Chrome, although Firefox 4 is also pretty amazing. I'll have
to give Poyozo + Firefox 4 another try tomorrow!
Thanks again!
