no sound from the tabs but sound for everything else

I have a few tabs set up and when I play I can hear the metronome and see the tabs turn red while its playing but I cannot hear the guitar. nothing is set to off or mute in the guitar settings. its been doing this right from the installation with no edits to settings

There probably is no "Gtr In" symbol placed at the start of the tab. Without that symbol, you won't hear anything.
