I know there is a way to change the size of the tab, both the line
spacing and the numbers. But is there a way to do the same to the
staff and notes? Or a way to make the gap between the staff and tab
smaller?

Afraid not. If you increase the spacing of the tabulature staff, the distance between the stansard notation and tablature staves
will increase, but that is the only way.
