Where's the download button?

For the life of me I can't seem to find the button to actually
download guitar tabs. Please help!

There's no button, you have to check out the internet and find them yourself. Let me recommend ultimate-guitar.com. Just search for a song on the home page and click on the best rated powertab, download it to any directory and open it in the software.
