How To Add Chord Symbol

This is my first time using this prog. so please be kind about my simple request for help.

OK I have made a new symbol e.g. Cm.

How do I display it on the score?

I would also like to play it in the eighth position.

I have searched "Help" and there is plenty of information about what it is but I am unable to find any info on how to apply it.

You can either create a Chord Name (found under Text/Chord Name) and click ok at the point in the score where you have positioned the cursor, or you can choose a Chord diagram using the Chord Dictionary (found under the Tools Menu) and insert it from there. If you choose a chord diagram from the chord dictionary, and you click ok, it will not be inserted into the score. You have to either click Insert from within the Chord Dictionary, or (if you have created a diagram in the Chord Dictionary) go to the Text/Chord Name dialog box and choose the chord from there.
