Hi all,

I have a question about what order items should be added to the
application library list. Is order important? Should the PFC pbls be
listed before the PFE pbls. What about the other pbls in the
application? If I have objects segregated in different pbls such as
windows in a window pbl, datawindows in a datawindow pbl, userobjects in
a userobject pbl?

I have been looking around and can't seem to find anything about this in
the documentation.

Thanks

It shouldn't matter a whole lot. Nonetheless, this is the order I use:

application PBLs.
PFE PBLs.
PFD PBLs. <- my extension layer
PFC PBLs.

Bruce,

Thanks for your response.

So where do you put the .pbls that contain your app? Before or after PFC.

Thanks

Doug

Doug,

I use a PBL that contains only the application (and perhaps a project
object).
That is followed by one or more work PBLS (during development)
Followed by one or more application-specific object PBLs
Followed by a PBL with any PFE-layer objects that I have modified (this is a
technique that I use to ease maintenance and the inevitable "search for
code")
Followed by the structure suggested by Bruce.

order is not that critical except when you objects checked out to your own
library. Inc that scenario, you would want to place your own library first
before the library you check out from
