We've upgraded our application from PB6 to PB8.0.2 build 9506 and I have
noticed a sever performance drop with Oracle especially WAN performance.
This is a product we sell so I've witnessed this at several client sites.
We can support both native access and ODBC, but with either access method,
the Oracle WAN performance has taken the largest hit. We also support MSSQL
ODBC, but this has not taken a WAN performance hit like the installations
using Oracle as the backend.
I don't know all the details between the interaction between Powerbuilder
and Oracle this seems to be the trouble spot.
Has anyone else seen this? Am I missing some configuration in the
pbodb8.ini file? Is there a problem with the Oracle interface I don't know
about?

Thanks in advance,
Ryan Watton rwa...@firstwave.net

have you solved your problem ?
Some application have a problem to comunicate via tcp.
This problem can be solved by setting a oracle tcp_loop parameter.
