Hi Bruce,
How can I check the value that the powerbuilder sends to the stored
procedure because it gives me the error. Also, do you know what dummy value
does it pass to the stored procedure. For example, my parameters are
varchar2 and the first line in the stored procedure that uses those
parameters creates the error. Would you please elaborate on your solution.

Thanks
Junaid

When PB is setting up a datawindow with a stored procedure as the
datasource, it actually invokes the stored procedure passing a dummy value.
That can actually cause errors if the value is something that the procedure
isn't expecting. You might want to add something to the stored procedure to
check for the value that PB passes when intially setting up the DataWindow.

Turn on database tracing and you'll see what's being sent in the trace file.
