I'm facing problems while using PB 7.02 &
ODBC [ AS/400 Client Access Express for Windows Version 4 Release 4 ]
to connect to IBM DB2/AS400
Problems in details :

1. Invalid handle was sent to the DataWindow

2. Delay In the Connection Connection

So, Does anyone kindly know any thing about the DB2/AS400 NATIVE
connections.

what about DIRECT CONNECT ??

Pls send me any any Info about any DB2/AS400 Connection

We are using DirectConnect to access our DB2 backend without any major issues.
What kind of delay are you experiencing? Do you have the most current drivers?

Thank you so much for your kind reply.
I'm using AS/400 Client Access Express for Windows Version 4 Release 4
it's not the latest , but the latest is Version 5 release 2 I will try to
download it .

May I Ask about the following :
1.If the DirectConnect is a native driver not ODBC ?
2.If it's working If the case is Database : DB2/400 & Client is Window 2000
or 98 ?
3.If there a trial version to test it & to know if it's compatible with my
needs or not ?

You can access DirectConnect for OS/390 as a native driver, all other
DirectConnect products are supported from PowerBuilder only via ODBC

There is a DirectConnect for DRDA that would work for DB2/400 AFAIK;
however, Client Access is by far the most common approach that
PowerBuilder developers use.

Check downloads.sybase.com, but I suspect not, as it's a bit more
involved configuration wise and may require installing a component on
the OS/400 machine.
