Chris,
I did as you suggested in PB9, turning off the 'Use Extended Attributes'
option. While this did get rid of the 'Catalog tables could not be
created...' message, PB9 still died trying to connect to the Notes .nsf
file. Is there an issue between PB and NotesSQL version 3.0 and greater?

Thanks...
Rob Hall

Turn off your repository tables. I cannot remember the specific steps in PB
6.x but in PB9, go to the DB Painter Design | Options menu and uncheck the
"Use Extended Attributes" prior to connecting.

I had no problems connecting when testing this. Are you sure that you have
everything setup correctly i.e., can you connect to the DSN outside of
PowerBuilder?

Chris,
The DSN I had set up had a user specified on it (i.e. my Lotus Notes user).
This was causing the problem. Once I changed the DSN to '<none>', I was
able to connect with no problems (though you do have to enter your Notes
password on each connect, but what the heck!).

Thanks for all your help...
Rob Hall
