I need to turn on sqlnet tracing to find out what is going on, but
can't seem to get it to work with the connection cache. It does work
however by just using sqlplus. Does anyone know how to do this, or
have another idea on how to diagnosis this problem. I know this has
something to do with the sanity check. I'm guessing that easerver is
retrieving connections that were once valid, but now invalid.

there are issues involved with posting to moderated groups (such as
those run by Sybase) through services like google. The same issue
applies to posts made through your local ISPs newserver. In order to
ensure that your post reaches the server so that it can be responded
to properly, you need to either connect directly to the Sybase
newsgroug server at forums.sybase.com. Or you can use the web based
newsreaders at www.pfcguide.com or my.sybase.com that do connect
directly to the Sybase newsgroups server.
