We recently upgraded our database servers to ASE 12.5 from 11.9.2 (I
think that's the correct old version). At the same time, we patched
the OBP on a Sun Ultra 2 running the Jaguar server, and began running
Solaris 8 in 64-bit mode.

Since then, our Jaguar server insists on crashing with:

and so on. The Sybase DBA is convinced it's because we upgraded the
firmware - I think it's more likely that we're running 64-bit now, or
due to ASE going to 12.5.

'Course, it could also be a memory issue - the Jaguar server runs fine
on a Sun E4500, with 3GB of RAM - the Ultra 2 only has 256MB.

Has anyone see anything like this before? I have no clue - I know
Solaris, not Sybase, not java, not Jaguar ...

As the google groups helps indicates:

http://groups.google.com/googlegroups/help.html#moderated

there are issues involved with posting to moderated groups (such as
those run by Sybase) through services like google. The same issue
applies to posts made through your local ISPs newserver. In order to
ensure that your post reaches the server so that it can be responded
to properly, you need to either connect directly to the Sybase
newsgroug server at forums.sybase.com. Or you can use the web based
newsreaders at www.pfcguide.com or my.sybase.com that do connect
directly to the Sybase newsgroups server.
