App wishlist

I have *no* time these days, but if I did this is the wish list of
Powershop Apps that I would like (in no particular order):

1. Powershop lite - a single web page where I could see my balance,
enter a meter reading and top up my account (I would use this from my
iPhone standing by meter, or on a slow connection).
2. Twitter App - I could DM my meter readings and receive a message
every time my daily usage changed.
3. Price Alerts - email or tweet me when the price changes on selected
products.
4. Facebook App - an online space (linked through Facebook) where
Powershop customers can share their daily consumption information and
create a competition around savings (either individually or as a
group).
5. iPhone App - (this one is beyond my technical capabilities as well
as time availability) take a photo of your meter(s) and have an OCR
server convert this to actual meter readings ready to be verified and
uploaded.

That's the list for now, but I am sure it will grow over time!

Powershop is such a smart company: it got itself 10 more developers
for free!

6. One of those image things people use for signature on forums: shows
your usage/average price etc. Can also be used as a badge on websites.
If other people sign up by clicking through the image, Powershop could
pay a referral fee to the customer.

I like idea (6) and we're happy to run a referral programme through
this along the lines of our friend-get-friend promotions.
