I use PowerSDR-IF Stage v 1.19.3.5 with the Softrock Lite II 8.83 MHx IF configured with my Kenwood TS-570D as a panadaptor and love it.  I've had this for about a year and frequently noticed the MUT and MOX  light up and then I have to unmute manually - but sooner or later it happens again.   I figured that had set some some setting in error, but this week I re-installed everything fresh on a new Win 7 PC, and now this has started again.  Hmmm - maybe I need to review all my settings to see what may be causing this - can anyone offer a few suggestions as to what may be causing this?

When the problem occurs I think both buttons are lighting up at the same time.  I think...

Thanks, and merry Christmas to all.

What do you polling settings look like?  Under the setup menu, rig connection tab...rig timing Perhaps you are overloading the system with polling.  I can't remember what defaults we use.  Try 300 for everything except the lockout use 2000.

How are you using a  570?  No If output?

Good idea Scott - I will look at the polling settings and update this thread.

You are right - the TS-570D has no IF output, so I made up a small pcb to mount in the TS-570 with a small buffer amp, and located the IF terminal that proved to be a good 8.83 MHz IF point.  The output of the buffer amp was connected to a spare terminal on the accessory socket, and connected externally to the Softrock Lite II.  I documented it fuly with pictures, plans, location of the IFR point, and pcb details that allowed a special mount in the TS-570, and placed the documentation on the TS-570 user's group.  If there is interest I could place that document here.

I like these custom projects. Def. document it here if you can, I googled after your post and didn't find any info public. Maybe the 570 group requires membership to read and that blocks google from indexing the info. -Scott
