Here is my question ---I cannot get the PowerSDR-IF program to interface correctly with my K3. I have a direct serial interface from the PC to the K3 for CAT and can change bands, Modes, frequency etc. just fine both ways (from PSDR-IF to the K3 and from the K3 to PSDR-IF) However the automatic IF filter settings do not work. I select K3 as the rig type and set the LO freq to 8.215 (or 8.1914 my actual Softrock LO) but I must enter IF offsets for USB, LSB AM etc. to get the K3 displayed frequency and the center display line of PSDR-IF to agree. As well, I have to set the Swap IQ frequency to 0 Hz in order to have the PSDR-IF display track in the correct direction. (WU2X setup instructions indicate I should not have to do any of this! ) All of these actions make the PSDR-IF work correctly as a panadaptor on my wide roofing filters (2.7 kHz and 5.0 kHz) but when I switch to the 1.8 KHz filter the frequencies all shift about 1.5 KHz on the screen. It is like the K3 and the PowerSDR-IF are not exchanging the K3 information regarding IF offsets per mode (AM/USB/LSB etc.) and per filter setting. BTW I have uninstalled the PSDR-IF several times, made sure no files remain on desktop or in the recycle bin, performed a global search on Power* files on the C drive and then reinstalled the program. Strange thing is, each time I do this PSDR-IF still has most of my custom settings in place including the IF offsets and audio settings etc???? Like the program is really not being uninstalled or completely removed. For information purposes, can someone tell me the correct order of operations to reset the database file to the default??
