You could try NaP3 as it does the same thing as PowerSDR-IF

Just something to help you troubleshoot your problem.

Hi Folks

I have an FT950 with An LP-PAN 2 and Emu 0204 sound card hooked to an Intel Core I3 running Windows 7-64.  The PWRSDR Panadaptor  has worked well for several months with minor glitches but has recently stopped working.  When I start up and load PWRSDR, I get the main panadaptor screen.  When I toggle the start button on the Panadaptor screen, I get and error message "Port Audio Error- Device Unavailable", however I can hear the FT 950 audio through the computer .  Once I accept the error message, the audio stops and the panadaptor screen stays dead.

I have tried reloading PWRSDR but it doesn't help.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks

JIm

Thanks John, would I need to delete PowerSDR-IF?

Jim, try going in to the setup tab in Power SDR and then click on the audio tab. Make sure the ASIO driver is still selected. If it is not you can try to manually select it. If the ASIO driver option is not available try shutting down Power SDR IF and switch off the Creative Labs sound processor (0202). Switch the unit back on and then reboot Power SDR IF. See if the driver is now recognized and selected. I am wondering if the program has defaulted back to the on board default driver. Another thing to check is go into control panel on the computer and then system to hardware and devices. Find the USB EMU 0202 and right hand click it and see if it says the device is working properly. You can also confirm the port settings are set properly while you are in there. These are two separate things that caused my Panadapter to stop working. I use  the Telepost Lpan with the Creative Labs emu0404 sound card, Ham Radio deluxe and Power SDR IF with my Ten Tec Orion II. This seems to be very similar to what you are running. I hope this info helps. Regards, Roger AA1LY

Hi Roger

I tried both of your suggestions, thanks but no luck,  the ASIO driver is selected.  I keep getting the Port Audio error- Device Unavailable box.  Control Panel says the 0204 is working normally???

You may have to try reloading the drivers and software like you are starting fresh. I will check my settings on the Creative Labs sound card.  There is a lot of info on the Telepost web site for troubleshooting. I would also shoot Larry Phillups of Telepost and email with the error message you are getting. He is very knowledgeable with both the hardware and software sides of the Pan Adapters.

Yes no problem. You are using his product so I am sure he will be glad to help. I could not go without my Pan adapter at this point myself. Regards, Roger, AA1LY
