Thanks for the info Mike M. I've got a lot of listening to do! Do you have a few standouts from the list that "blow you away" yet?

It may sound like a copout, but so far all of these have really plunked my twanger. I put that first set in alphabetical order, and

it ended up with four pounders in a row (pounders in the power/indiepop sense; Goths and metalicists would get diabetes). But I guess if you're wanting to narrow it down, I would suggest Capsula, The Chevelles, and The Deadbeat Poets in the first post (http://powerpopulist.blogspot.com/2008/02/sxsw-2008-first-post.html) and The People's Revolutionary Choir, The Pillows, and The Steps in the second (http://powerpopulist.blogspot.com/2008/02/sxsw-2008-post-deux.html).
