Distinction for the week INTEGRITY
  • Integrity by definition is nothing hidden, being truthful and honest, doing complete work, working from an empowering context, and doing very well what you do, doing it as it was meant to be done or better, and without cutting corners.
  • There are two aspects to integrity - A word given by you to yourself and others. Another aspect is expectations of others from you. Eg: Integrity expected from an employer or in a relationship
  • One of the access to us for accomplishing what we said is the empowering context.
  • Punctuality is a subset of integrity.
  • When you know that you wont be able to accomplish your word - What do you do? Inform and complete with the stakeholders involved. Drop any conversation which might be stopping you in doing so (ego, fear of looking bad, what will they think). Its OKAY !
  • So you could start by thinking ........ In TMLP what is stopping you from being your word... from doing TnD, buddy calls, fulfilling games?
Suggested Exercise for the Week

1) Prepare list of broken promises

2) Communicate With buddy and T2 of all broken promises, take responsibility and restore integrity.

3) Make new promises

4) Keep in existence new promises

5) For Team 2: Look at where your Team 1 is settling for less than 100%, What justification they have for it and what is the impact it. Get them present to elevated level of effectiveness if the integrity is at 100%

The other recommended practice for the week is to give word to self by way of declaration... "I declare, I am a person of integrity".
Declare as frequently as possible, demand such declaration from other participants. This declaration is the beginning of integrity.
