Spotify and i3wm workspaces segments not displaying

I've configure the powerline status bar for i3 and tmux to display the spotify and (for i3) the workspaces segment, but both aren't displaying. Can you guys give me a hint where my mistake is?

So apparently the problem lies withing missing definitions in the colorschemes:

In case of the spotify segment the highlight group 'player' is only missing for the solarized color scheme, in case of the i3 workspaces segment the corresponding highlight group 'workspace' is missing from both color schemes. Should I file an issue about that on github?
