to powerline
Hi,
I've just seen a screenshot of KaOS Konsole with Powerline installed, and installed it from Kubuntu official repositories (including dependencies such as powerline-fonts). But saw no change in my terminal application.
Having gone through the documentation a bit, I also added the recommended lines to my .bashrc file:
powerline-daemon -q
POWERLINE_BASH_CONTINUATION=1
POWERLINE_BASH_SELECT=1
/usr/share/powerline/bindings/bash/powerline.sh
I've also made sure that the file above is executable (which wasn't after installation).
However, I still see no change in Konsole.
Although I get the expected result as a sort of prefix to the usual prompt when I enter the command: powerline shell left
I wonder what I'm missing here...
A little help would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Sadi

It seems what I was missing was a dot and space before the last line.
They should have included this in the installation script actually.
I've found a better code for .bashrc somewhere and it solved my problem. ;-)

if [ -f `which powerline-daemon` ]; then
    powerline-daemon -q
    POWERLINE_BASH_CONTINUATION=1
    POWERLINE_BASH_SELECT=1
    . /usr/share/powerline/bindings/bash/powerline.sh
fi
