When running powerline-setup I'm starting to get this error

`function: Illegal function name '--on-variable'`

I started getting this after I did a brew upgrade. I've also upgraded powerline with pip. I'm not sure why I'm still getting this error. Does anyone know what this is related to or how I can fix this?

to Sterling Cobb, powerline
That was fixed three months ago, in 2.5.1. Should actually be gone
after upgrading powerline, maybe you just have two powerline versions
installed (e.g. installed for different Python’s or one installed with
pip and another installed with brew) and are trying to use the wrong
one.
