Hi! :-)

Is it possible to give bash PS1 arguments (eg. date time etc.) with powerline installed and enabled?
So far, I can display only the path.

TIA! :-)
A.

Powerline can be configured, default configuration is stored in
/powerline/config_files in the repository, user in
${XDG_CONFIG_HOME:-$HOME/.config}/powerline (absent unless you did
configure powerline). What you need are themes: take
…/themes/shell/default_leftonly.json (…/default.json is for shell with
right prompt) and copy that to the user configuration directory,
keeping the directory structure, then edit as you like. Examples of
date and time segments may be found in similar tmux configuration
theme.

Also use …/config.json to point to the right theme: you only need to
put `{"ext":{"shell":{"theme":"default_leftonly"}}}` to
${XDG_CONFIG_HOME:-$HOME/.config}/powerline/config.json.

THANKS Nikolay for your help!!! :-)

I tried it but didn't work for me.
I think the theming documentation needs to be more complete (although I admit that I'm not any kind of JSON expert)
My personal opinion is, that Powerline is great out of the box for improving shell appearance, but in order to customize it, you'll need a deep knowledge of python and json.

Thanks again!!! :-)
