This forum doesn't allow me to "reply" (only "reply to author"), so
I'll add a new post for this.
I also have your problem (re "seems to hang randomly") and it happens
a lot - so I think this has to be a real issue.
We have a bunch of 5 developers in our team, and PowerCmd randomly
hangs at least once every day for everyone. I had an experience
recently, where PowerCmd kept on hanging consistently 5 or 6 times in
a row, on a 5-min script...so I gave up and went back to cmd.exe - and
it just worked.
We can put up with this for a while but it's close to unacceptable,
and I'll only be recommending PowerCmd with a stern warning about the
"random hanging" issue... I hope it gets fixed.

I made a fix recently and PowerCmd has passed the stress tests (the
random hang issue has been there for a long time, but it's not easy to
reproduce and fix on developer side). I'm not sure if the new fix can
fit your case or not.
