Hi, just installed powercmd for the first time. After 2 minutes I
found a first bug. I can't change the font and background color. When
I change the color nothing is changed. App restart does not help.

Strange is that just after installation the font color is black and
background is dark grey. I guess it was somehow imported from my cmd
console which has font color black and background color light gray.
Maybe this is related to the bug. I don't know.

You need to goto the preference dialog: File menu -> Preference ->
Appearance, change your font and color, you should get the change when
you close the preference dialog.

"color" command makes a temporary theme and will be reset with default
color you set from "appearance" tab mentioned above.

By changing the color I mean changing it in Preference, Appearance of
course. I know nothing about any color command.

I'm not sure why it doesn't work in your computer.

Just upgraded from 1.7 to 1.8, I'm having the same issue. Before
upgrading I ran blue background and white font. After the upgrade to
1.8, I now have a black background and green font. Going into
Preference | Options, my colors are correctly selected. White on blue,
but it's not showing up that way. I've un-installed, re-installed,
cleared out the registry and then re-installed. Nothing seems to
work.

One a side note, when I start up PowerCMD. For one very brief second
it flashes the correct back ground and font, but goes to green on
black

Having the same problem here. Interesting though: when I changed the
default colors for the cmd prompt and restarted PowerCMD, it adopted
those colors.

The workaround to this issue:

PowerCmd replaces the default system command background and foreground
colors. If you have changed your default console background, you can
see the colors settings in PowerCmd preference dialogs with either of
two ways below:
1. run command "color 07"
or 2. change your default console colors to system default value.

Paul
